ABOUT ABOUT

Most people think of the tasty treat when they hear “jelly roll”. When speaking
of fabric, a jelly roll is a set of 2 ½"; x 40"; strips of fabric rolled in a spiral. There
may be 10, 20 or 40 strips in a roll, and there may be duplicates or all different
fabrics included.
The Jelly Roll Race is a fast way to create a 50" x 66" (approximate size) quilt
top in a short amount of time. All the stitching is straight sewing, so this is a great
class for beginners! A great way to use up those long scraps!
There are many examples online of finished tops and different ways of
arranging the jelly roll strips; you may want to look at some before class.

For this class you will need:
1 Jelly Roll 40 strips 2 ½" x 40" (I like to use my fabric stash and cut one strip
each from 40 fabrics) You may want to cut off any selvedges before class.
A sewing machine (OR use one from Lancaster Creative Reuse)
Basic sewing supplies-thread, scissors, tape measure
Note: At the end of this class, the top only will be completed. Directions on
possible methods to complete will be discussed.

*Please note - this class will be held on the store level - ADA, wheelchair, walker accessable. Class size will be limited to 4 participants - in order to provide hands-on-help. Can't make it on Thursday, April 16?   We also have a class listing for Saturday, April 4 1:00 PM (note - the Saturday class will be held downSTAIRS)
