Kitty Blankets, Sewing machine 101: For kids age 10-14 and Adult Beginners
A class for kids learning to use a sewing machine. Basic sewing terms will be covered, as well as forward and back stitching, threading a machine, and beginning sewing techniques. Each child will be able to make 2 kitty quilts to be donated to the local Humane Society (and there should be plenty of time to make a couple to keep!) .
For safety purposes, an adult must remain with the child during class. Sewing machines and supplies to make the kitty quilts will be provided. Have your own machine? Excellent - bring it if you like, along with the manual. Our teacher is more than happy to help you navigate your machine!
Cost $25.00 for the 2 hour class, instruction and supplies all provided. Maximum 3 students(+ supervisors) for safety and spacing due to pandemic guidelines. A mask is required. This classroom is DOWNstairs -- so please let us know if that will be an issue for you at [email protected], so that we can best accomodate you.
