OH the ART of SCRAPS!!!
We come across the COOLEST cuttings, stickers, and fibers. This session will provide an introduction to using items such as ModPodge - to create a collage masterpiece out of cardboard, left over giftwrap/tissue, junk mail, and other items we throw in the trash everyday!
For our Monthly Kid Crafting Sessions - our LCR staff will guide your kiddos through different art forms and media - all with materials that were donated for creative reuse! We will add in concepts of deining art princples, educate on reduce/reuse/recycle, and talk about being resourceful with the materials around us. Skill level is beginner - however, we are able to work individually with students throughout the session for novices as well. Age focus will be 4-12, and ALL ages are welcome! These classes will be held on Thursdays, from 6:05pm to 7:00pm (perhaps 6:45pm for fast learners). The classes are in the LCR's Craft Corner - within the store. The store closes at 6:00pm - However, parents are welcome to browse the shop during class time. Store purchases can be made at the end of class. Tickets can be purchased online, with a Donation of $5 minimum per child, in order to expand our facilities and educational programs. Please note - we often are unable to accommodate drop-in students - so be sure to reserve your spot !
