This quilt top is an easy way to use up all those small pieces of fabric that you’ve kept buying, not knowing what to use them to make. The largest “scrap” you will need is 5 “ x 3 ½ “. You can use scraps in one color family (all blues), two color families (purple and green), or a mixture of everything! This is an easy top to make because it is all straight sewing. The pattern is a variation of the Fabric Fusion pattern available for purchase online at several quilting websites.
You will need:
--A working sewing machine (OR we have some at the store you may borrow if needed)
--Basic sewing supplies-scissors, thread, bobbin(s), seam ripper
-- 2 ½ yards white or white on white fabric-please cut 25 1” strips across the width of the fabric before coming to class
--Lots of scraps cut into the following sizes- 3 ½” x 2”, 3 ½ “ x 3”, 3 ½” x 5” at least 35 of each size. Easy way to cut the blocks is to cut a 3 ½” strip of fabric, then cut into smaller sizes.
(some pre-cut blocks will be available during class, but no guarantee as to colors)
PLEASE NOTE: class is in the store sewing room
Cant make it Monday, March 23? We also have a class listed for Sat March 21 in the new basement classroom! (not ADA, wheelchair accessible due to stairs)
